Buruklyn Boyz 2022 debut album “East Mpaka London” Review
Buruklyn boyz new debut album “East Mpaka London” set to be released on 20 May 2022 is one of the biggest drill album to be released this year. Buruklyn Boyz announced the upcoming album via their social media pages and it’s going to be big. The album features artists such as YoungLouie58, Silverstone Barz, Big Yasa, and Maya Amolo.
Graphic designer and Photographer @louiex.v is best known by his channel WESH TV which he has been supporting Buruklyn Boyz. He is also known to be the official photographer to Kenyan artist Maandy.

Buruklyn Boyz Members
Buruklyn boyz consists of Ajay and Mr Right. Other members include; Telvo or Telvin 400, Mr Brown, Eugene Mwandau aka Young Louie and their manager G Rude also called Ali Buddz. Buruklyn Boyz are best known for their top drill tracks such as Nairobi, Bad Boyz Club, Piga Lean, Dream ya Kutoka kwa Block and more.
Buruklyn Boyz – East Mpaka London | Documentary
After a successful year in drill music, Buruklyn Boyz are now back in studio for their debut album, revealing to Flipside Kenya (Flipside Kenya is an Independent filmmaker under Esteem Media). The documentary is produced and published by Tofauti Vibes. The Documentary covers all information about Buruklyn Boyz which consists of 10 members and rappers. They were born in the block in Buruburu, Ajay started rapping then he met Mr Right and formed Tano Nane. Now they own Buruklyn Boyz a record label based in Nairobi Kenya.
Buruklyn Boyz have been in the game since 2018.
Now it’s been 4 years working on their debut album East Mpaka London.

Buruklyn Boyz introduces new artists in the game. Artist such as Maya Amolo and YoungLouie58 are new to the game while they had initially collaborated with Silverstone Barz and Big Yasa in the song “Bae” and also Big Yasa in the song “Bad Boyz Club“.
Review (What I Think About the Album)
This album marks as one of the first drill album to be dropped this year in Kenya. This is after Wakadinali released their first drill album “Victims of Madness”. Buruklyn have shown progress after disrupting the Kenyan music industry with their first viral song “Nairobi”. After introducing themselves as Kenyan drill artists, they have taken the genre seriously and noe releasing an album shows career growth.
This is an inspiration to other upcoming Kenyan musicians. It shows that when you believe in yourself, people will start believing in you. I can remember back in 2019 when I transcribed their first song “Durag na Slice” and I posted the lyrics Afrika Lyrics. I also made a lyric video which I posted on YouTube and Instagram.
Ever since I discovered Buruklyn Boyz, I have been their number one supporter I have tried transcribing their lyrics so as many people may understand their songs. I feel good music is good music and it needs to be shared.
No Promotion: Burukyn Boyz also have been humble despite the challenges they face. Their songs initially did not get promotion on national TV, radio or support from other artists. They have struggled their way up chasing the bag. Buruklyn Boyz are very hardworking we can call them dreamchasers.
Inspiration: Buruklyn Boyz have inspired many people with their song “Dream ya Kutoka Kwa Block”. In the song Ajay says that they had a dream of coming out of the block. And now we can see that the dream is nigh. They are living their best life.
