Gengetone Artist Shalkido passes Away!

Shalkido, also known as Shalkido ga Cucu, a member of the Sailors Gang, sadly passed away yesterday, on 6th October 2025, after getting involved in a grisly accident that occurred in the morning. Shalkido will be greatly remembered for his contribution to the Kenyan music industry. Together with his team members at Sailors: Miracle Baby,  Qoqos Juma, Masilver, and Lexxy Yung.

Shalkido Accident

The Accident occurred on the morning of 7th October 2025. Shalkido was taken to the hospital, and he was pronounced brain-dead. According to information shared by popular Kenyan YouTuber Oga Obinna, it is said that Shalkido had to undergo an operation, but unfortunately, he passed away hours after.

Shalkido Death

Unfortunately, the untimely death of Shalkido occurred weeks after Kenyans bought Shalkido a new motorbike after pleading for help. Kenyans of goodwill contributed to his rise, but sadly, the same motorbike ended his life.

Achievement in the Kenyan Music Industry

Shalkido will be greatly remembered for his work and contribution to the Kenyan music industry. Together with his team members at Sailors Gang, Shalkido was among the first pioneers of the genre Gengetone and will be greatly missed.
