15 Years in Nairobi! Amazing

Call me the true hustler of Kanairo. As I reflect on my 15 years in the buzzing city of Nairobi, all I can say is that I have seen it all with my eyes. The ups and downs in the city and the life that I never knew I would experience in my lifetime. But what can I say? I can only give thanks to God.
Ever since coming to the city of Nairobi in 2010, my life has really changed. Living in the city for all those 15 years has really taught me a lot, and now I can say Nairobi has made me who I am today.
I spent my high school and university days in Nairobi, and now in my working days I am still in Nairobi. Sometimes I really want to leave the city, but I don’t feel like it. I feel like the city has created a lot of opportunities for me, and I will miss out on some of these. But all in all, when the right time comes, I might even travel to London or even live in Dubai City; who knows? Talking of missing out, btw, I can say I really miss “ushago yaani ocha,” the place I grew up and my homeplace. But we left home to change home, right?
My first biz in Kanairo
My first business in Kanairo was mjei, yaani, mjengo; this slowly transitioned me to owning and building. And all I can say is I have managed to achieve most of the goals that I had. I am grateful.
It’s never too late to do whatever you want to do with your life, Kelx. Keep going,” that’s what I keep telling myself. I really want to make it in the city of Nairobi. As I deeply reflect on my role in shaping the new gen media with Kelxfy.

Giving Back
As a gift, soon we are unlocking something new that I have been building behind the scenes. Stay tuned. Already we have the Kichele digital school program in progress, awaiting funding, and we are ready to unlock new ventures that will benefit Nairobi residents in the near future.
