How to solve the “Update your signature…” error

Recently, I got this error “Update your signature to exactly match your name. if you are signing on behalf of someone else, uncheck electronic signature consent.” I was trying to update tax details on Facebook and this required I provide a signature. So in the process, I got this error. In this article, I will show you how I solved the error.

What this Error mean

When it occurs: The error occurs when the name does not match the one you provided before. Also, the error occurs when there are spelling mistakes in your name.

What it means – This means that the data provided does not match, the one provided before. This error occurs when signing a signature with a different name.

How to Solve

In order to solve this error, make sure all your information matches the one you provided before. For example, if you had provided your full name as your 3 names make sure to include all three names and sign off.

Also to avoid this error make sure that there are no spelling mistakes in your name.
