Liwe Liwalo meaning in English
Liwe Liwalo is a word that went viral on social media in Kenya in May 2023. Social media can make one become famous in minutes. Recently there was a clip making rounds on social media and even made its way to Nairobi Gossip Club. In the clip, we can see a man driving at high speed. In the video, the person recording is worried that the driver is overspeeding and when he confronts him, the driver responds “Liwe Liwalo” while continuing to overspend.
It is not yet clear who the person in the video is but after hearing the conversation between the two we can confirm that the driver’s name is called Ibrah. The driver is heard lamenting about his girlfriend.

Liwe Liwalo is a Swahili word that means “Whatever happens, happens”. The saying originates from an old Swahili saying. Liwe is a Swahili were that means “Let it be” and Liwalo means “Be it”. So the term “liwe liwalo” simply means that whatever it is to happen let it happen.
