Mpyaro meaning in Swahili & Sheng
Mpyaro is a new sheng word that means a person who talks meaninglessly. It became popular in Kenya in 2023 after the word was highlighted on national television. Jokingly, the KOT took the word further to describe a person who talks in vulgar language.
On June 2023, the word “Malaya” was trending on Twitter after it was widely used in tweets. “Malaya” is a Swahili word that means a prostitute. However, the word is considered vulgar depending on the context used and some may feel offended or attacked.

The word “Mpyaro” originated from the KOT (Kenyans on Twitter) and it simply means someone who talks meaninglessly. The word is taken from the Swahili language and according to Bab.la Dictionary, Mpyaro means “Mtu anayependa kutia chumvi kwenye habari”. In English, it means someone who loves distorting information.
