In an interview with Kwadwo Sheldon, Olivetheboy revealed he started taking music seriously while in form two. Olivetheboy started his musical career officially in 2020 when he released several songs independently. In 2021, he released his first EP Tanga-Reen after being signed under Loop Music.

In 2023, Olivetheboy released his second EP “Avana” EP which was released on 21 April.
