Celebrating 1M channel views | KELX
Recently, I clocked 1M channel views on my YouTube channel and I wanna celebrate this great milestone. This year, I started my new career as a Youtuber and streamer and this journey has been an exciting one. In this article I will share my YouTube journey as a creator based in Kenya.
YouTube journey
I started creating YouTube videos in 2018, when I created my first channel Kelx Innovations. It was an amazing journey discovering a platform that would later change my life as a content creator.
Something happened.
But, it was never all rosy as my career was cut short when I lost my previous channel under the Kelx Innovations brand due to copyright issue’s in 2019.
But I never gave up!
2020
In 2020, I created my channel KELX, back then I used to do lyrical videos, until I had an issue with monetizing the channel. I had to make a decision.
2023
In 2023, I can say this is when I started my content creation journey on YouTube as a digital creator. Here I had to make a tough decision every creator makes. I had to start afresh, You can watch my first video on the channel below.
This decision made get up and start now creating original content for my audience. And this marked as a new start to me.
2024
This has to be one of my greatest year since my channel got accepted in the YouTube Partners Program (YPP) after trying so many times. I made a decision to start streaming and this has really helped me get traction make new friends and help me reach my goals as a YouTuber.

Lesson Learned
- I have learned to always be real and authentic.
- I have leaned to create content that is relevant to my audience
- I have leaned to always stay positive, to keep going and not to give up.
- I have learned the power of collaboration.
