The hashtag #RIPTwitter is trending on Twitter after Elon Musk tweeted on 1st July 2023 about reducing the number of posts a Twitter user can see per day. According to Elon’s tweet, Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts per day, unverified accounts to 600 posts/per day, and New unverified accounts to 300 posts per day.

The tweet attracted mixed reactions from different users on the platform. The Tweet has been viewed more than 554 Million times, retweeted more than 567K times, and liked by more than 440K times. Following the temporary limits, the hashtag #RIPTweeter started trending and has been trending since 1st July 2023.
Some users also reported that they experienced temporary limits and were unable to see new posts. They could only see the message “Sorry, you are rate limited. Please wait a few moments then try again.”
