Is it Utamaduni Day or Huduma Day? Explained…

Utamaduni day also known as Huduma day is usually celebrated on 10 October every year in Kenya. This year Utamaduni Day/Huduma Day will be held on Monday 10 October 2022. Most people are wondering whether the day is called Huduma Day or Utamaduni Day.

In a tweet the Ministry of Interior tweeted;

PUBLIC HOLIDAY ANNOUNCEMENT – The public is hereby notified that Monday, 10th October 2022, will be a public holiday (Utamaduni Day). Let’s celebrate the rich cultural diversity of Kenya in a manner that promotes our unity, national cohesion, and economic progress.

Is is Utamaduni Day or Huduma Day?

Well, previously the day was known as Moi Day but it was changed to Huduma Day. In a tweet from the Ministry of Interior, the day is now called Utamaduni Day. Utamaduni Day has been set aside to celebrate the country’s rich cultural diversity and heritage.
