1. Wake Up Early
This is a brainer, waking up early has saved many people. You might miss an important meeting, interview, or important date with the person you love. You can blame it on the traffic. Nowadays there are clever ways to combat this. One of the best ways is to wake up early. Waking up early means.
- you will pay less
- You will save time
- You will earn
- You will be a better person
- You will avoid stress
- You make your life seem simple and easy
- You will improve your creativity
- You will plan ahead
The list may be endless but as the saying goes “Mapema Ndio Best” it is up to you to decide. But hey, we are here to help you, as the lyrics to Kizz Daniel & Tekno song “Buga” goes “wake up don’t sleep…collect your money”.
2. Use a Motorbike
When caught up in unnecessary traffic, you might opt for a motorbike even though you might have to pay quite a higher amount as compared to a matatu. This method works wonders. At one time I had to part away with a good amount of money so as not to miss an important interview I had. The rider was there within 2 minutes of the interview. The boda guy saved me from missing this opportunity and after the interview was over I got the job. To this day, I always have much respect for boda boda guys.
3. Use another Route
If driving, you might opt to use another route if you get to find out that the route you usually use has traffic. In this case, prepare to have more cash for fuel if the route is quite long, but also remember staying in traffic for long can also incur other fuel costs. In fact, using another route will save you time thus saving on unnecessary costs.
