Jovie Jovv (Shrap OG) goes hard on “Boy”!

Yo! Jovie Jovv, real name Christopher Karimi Gichuki, also known as the Shrap OG, has released “Boy,” a new track that has the internet talking. Jovie took to Instagram to announce Boy with the earlier name of “Stevo Simple Boy,” as seen on the cover posted on Spotify.

In the track “Boy”, Jovie Jovv name-drops artists such as Khaligraph Jones, Buruklyn Boyz member Ajay, Bien, Stevo Simple Boy, Stoopid Boy, Abass Kubaff, and Phoolish Boy.

Jovvie has been in the industry for more than 10 years now, releasing his first single “No Fugazi” in 2016. Recently, he collaborated with Mauru Gwash in “Mapangale,” while his latest collaboration with Boutross, “Next,” was released in 2025.

Boy was produced by producer, mixed and mastered by Kenyan producer Lemario while the visuals were chopped by Ben47 Visuals.
